Emma from Raven K9 is a true canine whisperer! Her expertise in dog training has been a godsend for our fearful and reactive dog. The positive changes in Chai’s behaviour are undeniable - obedience commands are now met with enthusiasm, lead walking has become a joy, and Chai is steadily gaining her confidence back.

Emma’s approach to dog training is both comprehensive and effective. She takes the time to explain her strategies so that they resonate with both the dog and the owner. Her dedication and understanding have made the training process so much more enjoyable for both us and Chai.

We wholeheartedly recommend Emma for anyone seeking a highly skilled and compassionate dog trainer and wanting long lasting changes in their dogs’ behaviour.

Merry spent 6 weeks with Emma and he has been transformed. He is still the cheeky boy that I love but I can now take him everywhere with me without the experience being stressful. He went to Emma with no recall and was an absolute nuisance around other dogs. He would bark incessantly when he saw another dog and would bother them endlessly. He returned with an enthusiastic recall and was no longer so fixated on other dogs.

Emma really gets to the root cause of behavioural issues and it turns out that Merry was actually quite a nervous boy who didn't understand other dogs' social cues. The ongoing support Emma has provided shows just how much she cares about both dog and owner. I honestly owe so much to Emma and I have learned an incredible amount on this journey with Merry. Now Merry can enjoy his life off lead and dog training has become my passion, all thanks to Emma.

We adopted Pippin at 8 months old and it became clear quickly that she found the world to be a very scary place. She had particularly severe reactions around cars/ bikes, and could not be walked along, or even near, a street.

We first reached out to Emma when she was in the US and she gave us advice that allowed us to make significant improvements with Pippins sensitivity to household noises.

However, the chasing machinery and reactivity to the world around her was something we continued to struggle with and whilst we had a lot of fun with Pippin, she was living a very limited life.

After the first residential stay with Emma, Pippin was a transformed dog, and we had been given the tools to work with her and keep up what Emma had done. During the 6 weeks we had Pippin back, we did car exposure sessions, and spent time chilling on a bench by roads and doing engagement around traffic. We continued to walk her on a long line or flexible lead so we could build value in her recall and ensure success 100% of the time.

We made great progress following Emma's plan during this time and she continued to become noticably more relaxed around traffic.

After the second stay with Emma, Pippin's recall had been proofed to the point where we could trust her in most places off-lead.

For each stay with Emma, we had regular updates and videos of Pippin, showing what Emma was working on and how it was important for helping Pippin. Emma then taught us what to do at each handover, and she continued to be available for help and questions.

We can now take Pippin on walks to new places, where we can stop at coffee shops, cafes or pubs and be confident that she can be settled and relaxed. We would never have had the confidence to even attempt this without Emma's help and guidance.

We (and Pippin) cannot thank Emma enough!!

Saying Sheeba’s training with Emma has changed our life is an understatement.

We now have a “before Emma” and “after Emma” Sheeba, our 2.5year old German Shepherd who was reactive to every dog and some people.

We were at our lowest point with her, nervous of trusting a new trainer after so many attempts, my anxiety was second to none (never mind the dogs!), hating taking her out the house, never letting her off-lead and at one point realising I was as much “on guard” seeing other dogs out and about as Sheeba was.

It felt like a big step giving Sheeba to Emma for a month (a previous intensive training program fail with another trainer dented our confidence) so we started with some 1:1’s and day trains. Emma was so enthusiastic and positive and the sessions were actually fun...we started enjoying our dog! Emma was so experienced and knowledgeable we knew we could trust her to help Sheeba. During her time with Emma we were kept so well informed and got to see her regularly (we needed as much, if not more, training than the dog, which Emma handles brilliantly!)

After the month we were given a routine and weekly checklist, additional training sessions and things to put into practice and now 60 days after she’s been back we have her off lead for big ‘be a dog’ walks, a reliable recall, love doing obedience training with her, can walk pass dogs without exploding (even had success with horses!) and we can stop and talk to strangers. A big win for me is no longer seeing or labelling her as a 'bad reactive dog' and having people compliment her behaviour. I even achieved the goal of mine to sit in the pub with her!

Other benefits are that I've really noticed she's lost her anxious ‘edge’, is more settled at home and with each walk I’m seeing her becoming so much more playful and happier just being dog.

We can't thank Emma enough for everything she's done for Sheeba and for us. We'll continue working with her, learning new things and continuously improving Sheeba's behaviour but the difference is we now really enjoy owning Sheeba and having her as part of our family.

“If I had not met Emma I may well have had to re home Jess because I couldn’t manage her as a puppy and I am sure she would have grown into a very difficult dog. I thoroughly and whole heartedly recommend Emma and am forever grateful to her for what she did for us .”
